Mondega’s main ingredient is cultivated across several African countries, where we actively support small local farmers in practicing sustainable agriculture. By providing them with the necessary seeds, we enable them to produce 50 times more of the chillies we require. The generous climate in these regions imparts a unique quality to the ‘bird’s eye’ chilli variety from the Capsicum frutescens plant, which is then carefully selected. In each seed they passionately nurture, something special emerges, as if they were infusing it with the warmth of those who will eventually enjoy it.
