SerraMel is a premium honey and jam producer in the Serra da Malcata Natural Reserve, a pristine area of 21,000 hectares, free of pollution and rich in wild flowers. This honey is produced in the mountains in the interior of Portugal (Beira Baixa) where the bees collect this light colored and delicate honey from the flowers of wild lavender ( Lavandula stoechas ). Traditional methods were used in its production and extraction. It is bottled in a Portuguese handmade ceramic jar.
