Quinta da Pedra Alta is nestled in the heart of the Douro Valley, within the Cima Corgo sub-region. True to Douro tradition, all of its wines are blends. The estate currently produces a diverse selection of white, red, and port wines, each crafted to reflect the true essence of the land.

At Quinta da Pedra Alta, the estate boasts six granite lagares, a vital part of their winemaking process. These lagares, a centuries-old tradition, are used to crush the grapes, ensuring a swift extraction of flavors and color while preserving the gentle handling of the fruit. This method minimizes the risk of breaking the pips and introducing undesirable green flavors. The fermentation process in the lagares provides the winemaking team with precise control over the body, tannins, and aromas in the final handcrafted product.

Pedra a Pedra Tinto is a Douro red wine that is both approachable and fruit-forward, crafted from a blend of native grape varieties grown in the schist soils of our terraced vineyards.
