Liga makes beautiful things out of sustainable materials. Those beautiful things are affordable, innovative and inspired by a natural world they're committed to protect. Organic, unbleached cotton, compostable cloth, recycled plastics, ceramics and ethically-sourced cork; they only take what the planet's happy to give us, and in turn they give back by creating cleverly-designed things for your home. They love that so many of you care about what you buy and where it comes from. Equally, they know it matters to you that the same things are as important to them, that they also take great care about the impacts of what they do.
How it all began: LIGA (pronounced Leega) came about when Jennie was on the hunt for great eco-friendly products that were useful, practical and affordable. She really struggled to find what she was looking for both in the UK and on overseas buying trips, so she decided to design her own collection, which launched in January 2017. She didn’t have a clear direction on which products she would design, she just knew they had to be made from sustainable materials, have a purpose and be affordable. Once she started to share the LIGA name she found out that in other cultures the word means ‘collection of people’, which really appealed to her.
The Products: All of Liga's designs are inspired by nature. Luckily, living in the countryside in Cornwall they are surrounded by so much beauty and inspiration is around every corner. Jennie has her own eco design studio in her garden where she comes up with new collections and products. Collections are inspired by new eco materials, trending colors and adventures in Cornwall. They have worked hard over the last few years to introduce only eco friendly and sustainable products, like the Beach Clean range, and core cork products. They continue to search for the best sustainable materials, they have just launched a new material made with recycled corn husks with more products in that collection to come soon. Since LIGA was born, they have strived to only use materials that are kind to our planet. Liga has grown considerably in the last year, selling to shops around the world and is committed to their business meeting tough sustainability standards that are verified by independent third parties.
