Ach. Brito is one of the oldest and most cherished companies in Portugal. Established in the city of Porto in 1918, by brothers Achilles and Affonso de Brito, the company, specializing in soaps and perfumes, has stood the test of time. It has done so by combining tradition and elegance in products reminding us of the past with the best that modern technology has to offer. Nowadays, Ach. Brito is across the bar in terms of market, its brands present in a variety of strata. Ach Brito products can be found in the main national stores, with exports reaching more than 50 countries. Owing to a rich tradition and to the exquisite beauty of its packaging, Ach. Brito products have endured through time. Its collection, filled with history, is the materialization of decades of experience producing soaps and the quality of the products.
The design and beauty of packaging are an inseparable part of Ach.Brito’s DNA. An entrepreneur from the outset, Achilles de Brito focused on a strategy of differentiation. Therefore, the brand’s packaging was created by the best Portuguese designers and artists. So unique were the original hand-painted labels that, in 1953, Ach. Brito set up a lithography within the factory and started to create graphic artwork for other brands as well, including port wine companies and the national tobacco company. A great passion for aesthetics gave rise to an exceptional graphic collection, admired by cosmetics and design enthusiasts alike, and which is still the main source of inspiration for new products.
With over 100 years’ experience in producing soaps and other perfumery items, and with a strategy based on quality and the aesthetics of its products, Ach. Brito is an international reference in its field. Manufacturing of soaps is still done according to traditional methods, acknowledging the mastery that has been handed down from generation to generation.
